Goals and debts
A goal and a debt are special circles in the green row. An ordinary category counts a month of spending and starts over each month; a goal or a debt accumulates without resetting — from zero up to the figure you set.
You create them where categories are created: three buttons at the top of the settings — “Category”, “Goal”, “Debt”.
You add to them like any expense: drag an account onto the circle and enter the amount. The difference is that what accumulates is not wiped at the end of the month — the circle keeps filling up.
The “Count in expenses” checkbox decides whether these count as spending for the month. It is off by default, on purpose: money set aside for a trip has not been spent — it is still yours, just kept apart. Turn it on if you see it differently; loan repayments, for instance, may well be expenses to you.
When the figure is reached the app says so and offers to take the circle off the home screen so it stops taking up room.
A debt here is about your own obligation, not about bookkeeping who lent whom what at which interest. The app shows how much is paid off and how much is left; there are no payment schedules or interest calculations.
